For when you have the time, I found this interesting and picked out some good ideas for the new project.
The up and down of this method makes sense to me. The W creates a natural roller coaster for the story to move towards the major turning points.
Are you a story boarder or is that too structured for you? How about a visual one, with pictures, drawings etc that give you visual clues as to what’s happening and where your highs and lows are?
