So here’s the thing. I was rejected. I feel I have joined a group of fellow rejects and I am okay with it. I even smiled as I read the rejection and said to myself “that’s okay, try again.” I got some feedback and advice which I thought was a nice thing to do. We don’t want your book but here’s what we think.
Have you been rejected and what did you do with your rejection? I was reminded of my little boy who retold the climb of the Sydney Harbour Bridge to me a few million times and it always ends with “I didn’t think I’d make it but then I took a few more steps and I found myself at the top and I felt amazing.” Hmmm, that’s philosophy for something else in my life too but today is about writing. I shall take the advice they gave and I shall run it through the MS and see what comes out of it.
That’s all I have this Wednesday. Short I know, but I’m working my proverbial off and I haven’t prepared a thing. I hope you’re all writing diligently and taking time off to smell the ink.
